PpSchool District 103 is seeking an individual to function as a member of the total educational team, under the supervision of a certified School Psychologist, with specialized knowledge and skills related to problem solving, systems development and management for RtI, techniques of assessment of learning and social adjustment, research design, and modification of behaviors. /p h3Job Responsibilities /h3 ul liCompletes the Intern Preparation Program with all competencies attained. /li liConsults with teachers, administrators, student service workers, parents, and other appropriate personnel regarding specific cases, as assigned by the supervising School Psychologist. (PST, in-service, referrals). /li liUses assessment methods, instruments and techniques to measure, understand, develop, and track the results of intervention plans for academic learning and behavior in the school. /li liProduces timely, professionally written reports and other school intervention documents reflecting the results of the above actions to be used by school and staff personnel in designing intervention plans or individualized plans for students as needed. /li liIf assigned, counsels using psychological principles and techniques for the purpose of improving communications, socialization, adjustment, adaptation, and achievement on a short-term basis. /li liUses effective consultation and behavior intervention principles to aid teachers or parents with individual child and/or group behavior management. /li liAttends and conducts in-service meetings and conferences to develop professional attitudes and skills. /li liAcademic and behavioral screening. /li liStandardized assessment (cognitive, academic, and social-emotional initial and re-evaluations as well as specialized assessment for low-incidence/self-contained populations) /li liReport writing and preparation/completion of IEP paperwork /li liComplete case study evaluations and facilitate eligibility/entitlement determinations /li liFacilitate IEP domain meetings and maintain compliance for (re)-evaluations /li liProvide therapeutic intervention/counseling for students with social/emotional/behavioral needs /li liSocial skills intervention/training (using social cognitive or behavioral methods based on students' abilities) /li liAcademic support (consultation to develop interventions and monitor effectiveness) /li liFunctional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) development /li li504 Plan Eligibility and Development /li liVarious data management and research opportunities /li liAbility to work well with others /li liDemonstrate mastery of school psychology coursework /li liDeveloping consultation skills for conferencing with teachers, parents, and students /li liPossess the organization and time management skills needed to handle multiple responsibilities /li liAware of own limitations and seeks guidance when needed /li liComfortable working independently once an activity has been adequately explained/supervised /li liAssists in communication with the parents regarding programs and services available to meet the general needs of students. /li liPerforms such other duties as assigned by building and/or district administration. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liCurrently enrolled in a program of School Psychology, graduating with at least a Master's degree and leading to a Professional Educator License with a SPSY endorsement. /li liRecommended by supervising university to be a School Psychologist Intern. /li liMust satisfy all state requirements prior to starting internship. /li /ul h3Work Environment /h3 pThe usual and customary methods of performing the jobs functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity.
