Key Responsibilities Drive innovation in asset design and manufacturing technologies to ensure state-of-the-art, reliable, and cost-effective operations. Evaluate and implement solutions that optimize operational expenditure (OpEx) and lifecycle costs. Create and own the respective business case Build and lead cross-functional, matrixed project teams from concept through execution. Ensure integration of solutions into strategic growth projects while maintaining cGMP compliance and adherence to safety standards, including machinery directives. Share best practices and establish a manufacturing innovation platform across the Advanced Synthesis network. Support the Director of Operations in defining and executing strategic transformation initiatives. Key Requirements Master’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biologics, or a related scientific discipline. Proven experience in leading complex projects in a matrix organization within a manufacturing or engineering environment. Strong knowledge in technology, engineering, regulatory compliance, and operational safety. Demonstrated experience managing project budgets and delivering against performance targets. Innovative mindset with the ability to think beyond traditional boundaries; experience with Lonza systems and processes is a plus. Fluent in English; German proficiency is preferred.
