Due to an upcoming retirement, we are seeking a Head of Student & Postdoc Affairs to join our academic research institute. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a liaison between PhD students, postdocs, and faculty, fostering a supportive and productive research environment.
This position involves a broad range of consultative and advisory responsibilities in a vibrant international academic setting, engaging with internal and external stakeholders. It will be available as of March 2026.
In this role, you will Coordinate our international PhD program. Provide guidance and career counselling to PhD students and postdocs. Participate in thesis advisory committee meetings. Lead training programs Conduct and evaluate employee surveys. Collaborate on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion initiatives. Manage alumni relations. About you You hold a PhD in life sciences. You have strong interpersonal skills. You have proven coaching and mentoring abilities, ideally supported by formal training. You are skilled in conflict resolution and stakeholder management. You work independently with a strong team spirit. You communicate clearly and effectively in English.
