Overview
The HR Operations Specialist - Fixed Term (12 months) role at GE Vernova focuses on managing and optimizing HR processes, including work permit management, reporting, onboarding, employee lifecycle, exit processes, payroll coordination, and transactional support. The position requires a strong understanding of HR practices and systems to enhance the employee experience, ensure compliance with policies, and identify opportunities for process improvements.
Responsibilities
* Respond to service ticket requests, oversee various People Operations and Payroll and Benefits processes, provide support to employees and HR People Partners on-site and virtually, and manage escalations
* Create and maintain support materials around HR tools and processes to enable employee self-service and drive customer satisfaction
* Maintain vendor relationships with 3rd party providers
* Broaden knowledge of theories, practices and procedures in HR to execute policy/strategy; continue developing functional knowledge and skills
* Understand key business drivers and how the work of the team integrates with other teams; generate and analyze business-related reports to enable informed decisions
* Typically have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework; resolve issues with knowledge and judgment within established procedures and consult more senior team members for issues outside defined policy/parameters
Required Qualifications
* This role requires advanced experience in the Human Resources & HR Operations Service Delivery. Knowledge level is comparable to a Masters's degree from an accredited university or college.
* Extensive experience in HR operations, including reporting, onboarding, and payroll coordination
* Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Proficiency in Workday, SAP and Microsoft Office
* Strong oral and written German and English language skills
* Willingness to travel to provide onsite support in different locations (Baden, Birr, Oberentfelden)
Desired Characteristics
* Process improvement/ LEAN experience
* Swiss or Austrian Payroll experience is an advantage
* Strong Excel skills
