Incumbent(s) may be expected to perform job-related duties other than those contained in this document and may be required to have specific job-related knowledge and skills. /i /ppMaintain the overall condition of district grounds, landscaping, parking lots, and athletic facilities to ensure safe and functional use. /ppRespond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner. /ppAssist the Lead Outside Maintenance Technician with equipment maintenance and repairs. /ppPrepare and maintain fields and grounds for scheduled educational, athletic, and community activities. /ppAssist with non-HVAC repairs, including carpentry, painting, door hardware, and basic plumbing. /ppComply with all health and safety codes, including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, to ensure safe working conditions. /ppSubmit and complete online work requests accurately and within required timelines. /ppEnsure tools, equipment, and materials are properly maintained and ready for use. /ppPromote safe work practices and report safety concerns or hazards as needed. /ppPerform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. /ppstrongQUALIFICATIONS: /strong /ppiTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. /i /ppstrongEducation and Experience: /strong /ppHigh School Diploma/GED /pulliTechnical school certification in trades, preferred; equivalent trades experience required. /li /ulpstrongRequired Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: /strong /ppiContinued employment is contingent upon all required licenses and certificates being maintained in active status without suspension or revocation. /i /pulliValid MN driver's license /li /ulpstrongRequired Knowledge: /strong /ppDistrict policies and procedures related to maintenance, groundskeeping, and safety. /ppMechanical principles and operation of grounds and maintenance equipment. /ppGrounds, landscaping, and athletic field maintenance practices, including care of plants and trees. /ppBasic maintenance procedures, including electrical repair, plumbing, carpentry, and welding. /ppSafety procedures, practices, and regulations applicable to grounds and maintenance work. /ppUse of personal computers and district software systems. /ppstrongRequired Skills: /strong /ppAbility to safely operate and maintain grounds and maintenance equipment. /ppAbility to perform general maintenance tasks including minor carpentry, plumbing, electrical repair, and welding. /ppAbility to plan, organize, and prioritize work to meet scheduled activities and deadlines. /ppClear and professional communication with supervisors, coworkers, and the public. /ppDemonstrated reliability, accountability, and attention to detail in completing assigned tasks. /ppAbility to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team while maintaining a safe work environment. /ppstrongPHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: /strong /ppiThe physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
