About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Actuarial Analyst to join our Centre of Excellence (CoE) within Group Finance Operations & Transformation (GFO&T). The CoE team is the knowledge powerhouse within Swiss Re platform transformation program. In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of the IFRS valuation and modelling, which is the basis for steering the company, including planning, pricing, reserving, and asset liability management. You will also be exposed to Group strategic decisions by contributing to their economic and accounting impact assessment.
Key Responsibilities Include
* Supporting the GFO&T Center of Excellence Valuations team in its role as the primary contact point for internal stakeholders on IFRS financial reporting matters, providing expert guidance and support.
* Developing capabilities and strengthening the governance over multi-valuation tools.
* Reviewing and ensuring accurate implementation of the IFRS in our financial systems.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams and contributing to global projects, enhancing the effectiveness of our financial operations.
* Supporting the IFRS and SST accounting production teams during peak times and assisting the accounting production of large and complex transactions.
About The Team
Global Finance Operations & Transformation is the unit responsible for the accounting and reporting of accurate and consistent financial information for Swiss Re for external reporting and internal analysis facilitating strategic decision‑making. This includes IFRS for Group as well as statutory financial information for all Swiss Re legal entities, including SST and Solvency II. GFO&T spearheads the transformation of Global Finance, streamlining it towards a simpler, more effective forward‑looking organisation.
About You
You possess strong analytical skills with a keen interest in financial or actuarial concepts. You demonstrate strong personal accountability and are passionate about the (re)insurance business, economics, and financial markets. Your ability to see both the details and the bigger picture sets you apart.
Essentials
* University degree in Economics, Finance, Actuarial Science or a related field.
* Savviness to master coding and to adopt usage of large language models.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration.
* A curious, flexible approach to problem‑solving.
Additional
* Coding experience on Python is an advantage.
* Familiarity with Spark coding or experience with Palantir Foundry is a plus.
Compensation
For Switzerland, the base salary range for this position is between 98'000 CHF and 146'000 CHF for a full‑time role. In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range. In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance‑based annual bonus.
Work arrangement
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.
