You’ll shape and evolve the frontend architecture powering our portals, create shared frontend solutions adopted by multiple teams, and orchestrate complex cross-team initiatives. /ppbAt a high level, you will: /b /plipLead the evolution of our Real Estate frontend architecture to support future requirements, defining and improving SLAs/SLOs and anticipating ripple effects across systems together with other senior engineers and principals. /p /lilipDesign and create shared frontend libraries, components and tooling (e.g. design system, performance tooling) that are widely used by internal teams, focusing on pragmatic, reusable solutions and driving their adoption. /p /lilipOrchestrate multi-system refactors and migrations (e.g. framework upgrades, cross-product harmonisation), breaking them down into digestible, plannable pieces and coordinating with engineers, product, and other stakeholders. /p /lilipAct as a go-to person across teams and locations for frontend topics, influencing how we build web experiences across the Real Estate organisation. /p /lilipMentor and coach other engineers through structured mentorship, pairing, and feedback, helping them grow their skills and closing skill gaps you observe in the organisation. /p /lilipModel healthy feedback culture, helping people navigate tough conversations and conflicts in a constructive, blameless way. /p /lilipChallenge and improve team and cross-team processes, suggesting changes that improve focus, quality, and speed when needed. /p /lipYou’ll still write plenty of code, but your impact will be measured just as much by how you multiply the effectiveness of others as by your individual output. /ppbYour day-to-day /b /plipYou'll be part of a regular product team, splitting time about half and half between product delivery and staff responsibilities depending on the current needs and priorities /p /lilipInnovate, design, implement, and deploy frontend-focused engineering solutions for our Real Estate products, from discovery to production. /p /lilipOwn the end-to-end technical vision for key user journeys like Homegate and Immoscout24 and more, with a strong focus on performance, accessibility, UX quality, and reliability. /p /lilipLead cross-team frontend initiatives (for example: shared design system improvements, cross-brand UI harmonisation, performance budgets, or observability patterns).Identify and surface cross-cutting technical bottlenecks—such as performance drags in the core user journey. /p /lilipIdentify and surface cross-cutting technical bottlenecks—such as performance drags in core user journeys or build-time inefficiencies—and advocate for their resolution at the leadership level. /p /lilipCollaborate closely with Product, Design, and other engineering teams to shape technical strategy and trade-offs for new features and platform work. /p /lilipPartner with DevX to co-develop engineering 'blueprints' and health scorecards, setting the gold standard for what 'good' looks like in our frontend repositories. /p /lilipEvaluate, prototype, and introduce new frontend technologies and approaches (frameworks, tooling, patterns), document your findings, and drive adoption where they make sense. /p /lilipOwn and evolve the Frontend ADR process, ensuring technical decisions are documented, socialized, and consistently implemented across the Real Estate organization. /p /lilipGuide and review the work of other engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and informal coaching. /p /lilipHelp the team embrace and leverage AI large language models in our engineering workflows and products. /p /lilipContribute to and facilitate guilds, tech chats, and other cross-team knowledge-sharing formats. /p /lilipPromote a culture of high-quality engineering: testing, monitoring with Datadog, observability, security, and operational excellence. /p /lipbOur Tech Stack /b /ppYou’ll work primarily on the frontend, while collaborating with fullstack and backend engineers: /plipFrontend: mainly Vue.js and some React both with TypeScript as the language of choice. We run a mix of client-side, server-side, pre-rendered, and hybrid web apps. /p /lilipBackend: Node.js and TypeScript, serverless and microservices architecture in a cloud-based environment using AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, S3, and more). /p /lilipMonitoring Observability: Mainly Datadog plus logging/alerting best practices. /p /lilipAI Tooling: We actively adopt the latest developments in AI technology and expect you to embrace innovation offered by large language models in your daily work. /p /lippbQualifications /b /p /plib8+ years of professional experience with the Vue.js , or similar frameworks /b /lilipProven track record of implementing and maintaining automated frontend testing, using tools such as bJest, /b bVitest /b, and/or bCypress /b. /p /lilipSolid hands-on experience building production applications with bVue 3. /b /p /lilipExperience collaborating with designers using Figma (figma.com). /p /lilipStrong experience building and evolving large-scale frontend applications in modern bJavaScript/TypeScript /b. /p /lilipProven track record of btechnical leadership /b: leading complex initiatives, aligning multiple stakeholders, and taking responsibility from design through rollout and iteration. /p /lilipDeep understanding of modern CI/CD for frontend, including automated release strategies and feature flagging in a microfrontend environment. /p /lilipDemonstrated experience creating and driving adoption of shared frontend solutions (e.g. design system components, shared libraries, cross-cutting tooling). /p /lilipExperience influencing and supporting multiple teams or a whole product area. /p /lilipExcellent English communication skills, spoken and written.
