Are you a chemistry professional with a strong regulatory & compliance background looking to make a tangible impact in a fast-growing and innovative Swiss material science company?
We’re looking for a Regulatory/Compliance and Product Stewardship Specialist to join our team and manage product stewardship of our textile auxiliaries for the woven, non-woven and knits industries and support new developments in the plastics and leather sectors to ensure global compliance with prevailing norms. This is a part-time (40–60%) on-site role based in Pfäffikon, SZ.
Tasks
What You’ll Do:
* Develop and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) in compliance with GHS and REACH standards
* Identify chemical components affected by upcoming regulatory bans and restrictions
* Support Innovation and R&D teams in risk assessments and compliance for hazardous substances
* Guide supply chain and operations teams in shipping hazardous materials across global jurisdictions
* Stay ahead of and ensure compliance with key global regulations: REACH, BPR, Prop 65, TSCA, POP, etc
* Provide support for certification processes (e.g., Bluesign, ZDHC, GOTS, AFIRM) in collaboration with our contract manufacturers in Switzerland and India
* Develop product stewardship documentation in line with these certifications and global quality control standards, e.g. ISO 9001
* Liaise with stakeholders to resolve shipping bottlenecks and jurisdictional compliance challenges in Asia, EU, and the Americas
Requirements
What You Bring:
* Master’s degree in Chemistry
* Solid hands-on experience in chemical regulatory compliance
* Experience with materials compliance and familiarity with the textile & non woven industries is a plus
* Exposure to quality management standards like ISO 9001
* Strong understanding of hazardous goods shipping and related legal frameworks
* Familiarity with global certification processes in textile-related industries
* Fluent in English, with a good command of German
* Proactive mindset, strong attention to detail, and clear communication skills
