JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company. The purpose of this position is to improve operational accuracy through daily reporting, goal analysis, and reconciliation of documents and discrepancies between customer and company systems, thereby enhancing operational efficiency.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Consolidate documents related to operations and transportation (booking, BL, pre-advices, loading confirmation).
* Manage import and export bookings according to the booking log sheet; coordinate with Customer Services team and JAS origin station; maintain routing guides.
* Implement co-loader policies within group policy; review and evaluate co-loader performance.
* Ensure accurate hub billing and job costing.
* Monitor cost leadership initiatives for cost of sales.
* Conduct rate analysis.
* Monitor and secure allocations and operational efficiency.
* Update and inform supervisors of transportation issues requiring resolution at origin offices or for customer issues, especially in capacity planning.
* Create operational reports.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Effective communication skills, confident and open.
* Ability to influence and persuade to achieve acceptance and agreement.
* Skill in guiding conversations to ensure focus and understanding.
* Judgment skills to make informed decisions and generate practical, timely solutions.
* Decision-making skills for pragmatic solutions.
* Willingness to involve stakeholders in decision-making for buy-in and implementation.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
* Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
* Understanding of standard runner practices.
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
ENVIRONMENT:
This role is performed 100% in a climate-controlled office environment. Travel up to __% may be required to support responsibilities.
Physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking, manual dexterity, reaching, talking, and hearing. The role may involve kneeling, crouching, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working in a fast-paced environment.
