Private Flight is an international technology company delivering innovative software and process solutions for the private aviation industry. The company has a clear vision and purpose, currently operating a world-leading Catering Management Platform. Building an industry-changing global business takes hard work and commitment, we are seeking a Sales Manager - Cargo to join our motivated and professional multi‑cultural team.


The Role

The role of Sales Manager - Cargo will be working with a highly dynamic and collaborative team across Europe and Asia Pacific and play a pivotal role in driving growth in our core segment, our cargo customers. This role is fully office‑based in Zug, Switzerland, and requires some international travel. Applicants which are not willing or able to be office based will not be considered.


Responsibilities

The primary focus of the Sales Manager – Cargo is to develop and execute the Sales strategy in order to drive sustainable segment revenue growth and achieve the set sales budgets and KPI’s.

As Sales Manager Cargo, you will be responsible for driving growth within the managed and charter multi‑aircraft cargo segment. In this role, you will develop and execute a focused sales strategy aimed at acquiring new accounts, expanding our customer base, and positioning Private Flight as their trusted partner.

You will identify, engage with, and convert new prospects through proactive outreach, targeted campaigns in collaboration with our marketing team, and strategic networking across key markets. Building strong, long‑term relationships with decision‑makers such as Operations Directors, Procurement Leads, Catering Managers, and CxOs will be essential to your success. From the first contact through to negotiation and contract closure, you will own the full sales cycle and ensure a seamless handover to our customer success team for onboarding and adoption.

In addition to direct sales activities, you will contribute strategic insights that help shape our product and go‑to‑market strategies based on evolving customer needs and market trends. You will continuously monitor market dynamics, evaluate opportunities, and support sales planning, forecasting, and financial projections.

Operational excellence will also be part of your remit, ensuring that CRM data and pipeline metrics are accurately maintained for forecasting and performance tracking. You will use tools such as ActiveCampaign and Trello in alignment with company processes, manage contracts efficiently, and collaborate with finance to ensure billing accuracy and timely payments.

You will represent Private Flight at key industry events and trade shows, generating visibility and creating new opportunities for collaboration, while fostering customer advocacy through referrals, recommendations, and long‑term partnerships.


Our ideal candidate will have:

* Proven track record in B2B sales into complex buying centers, ideally within aviation or adjacent industries
* Experience in selling to cargo operators, management companies, or related aviation segments, ideally with SaaS offerings
* High level of initiative, accountability, and self‑motivation in a fast‑moving, international environment.
* Excellent relationship‑building skills with senior stakeholders (Ops Directors, Procurement Leads, CxOs).
* Demonstrated capability to manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to contract closure and deliver measurable growth.
* Solid understanding of CRM systems (preferably ActiveCampaign or similar) and pipeline management.
* Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate market insights into action.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English; additional languages are an asset.
* Willingness to travel internationally and represent Private Flight at key industry events and trade shows.
* Tertiary degree or relevant experience in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Sales or Economics
