What You Can Expect
In this role, you will be responsible for driving the success of our orthopedic product portfolio (Recon & TDS) within a defined territory. You'll build strong partnerships with healthcare professionals and decision-makers, ensuring Zimmer Biomet continues to be a trusted name in patient care.
How You'll Create Impact
1. Promote and sell Zimmer Biomet’s range of orthopedic products exclusively within the assigned territory, focusing on strategic key accounts.
2. Build strong, long-term relationships with orthopedic surgeons and other key stakeholders, including purchasing departments, administrative personnel, and operating room management.
3. Deliver or coordinate effective product training for clinical users and hospital teams.
4. Identify and follow up on new business opportunities in alignment with strategic goals.
5. Maintain expert-level knowledge of our portfolio, competitor offerings, and market trends.
6. Keep account and customer information consistently updated in the internal sales system (CRM).
7. Analyze customer and market data to shape territory sales strategies.
8. Adhere to pricing and profitability guidelines.
9. Provide monthly performance updates to management, including market intelligence and competitor analysis.
10. Ensure comprehensive coverage of orthopedic hospitals in the region, including travel and resource allocation.
11. Participate in industry events, exhibitions, training programs, and internal meetings as needed.
What Makes You Stand Out
12. Minimum 2–3 years of successful sales experience, ideally in the healthcare or medical device industry.
13. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and closing deals.
14. Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
15. Strong relationship-building capabilities across clinical and administrative environments.
16. Analytical and strategic mindset with the ability to solve problems and adapt to a dynamic business landscape.
17. Entrepreneurial spirit and a team-focused attitude.
18. Open to change, resilient, and self-motivated to learn and grow.
19. Proficient in English (spoken and written); fluency in the German language is required.
Your Background
20. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (e.g. in business, economics, or life sciences).
21. Solid understanding of the healthcare system, health economics, and procurement processes.
22. Clinical understanding of orthopedic products and competitive positioning.
23. Ability to network across hospital systems and influence key stakeholders at multiple levels.
Travel Expectations
24. Regular travel within the assigned territory (by car).
25. Occasional overnight stays.
26. Occasional international travel for training or meetings.
