Process Expert MSAT (m/f/d)

As a member of the MSAT (Manufacturing Science & Technology) Team in Ibex Visp, you will be responsible for the successful transfer, scale-up, supervision, and optimization of biopharma processes. As an experienced professional, you are regarded as an expert in process science and manufacturing aspects. In this role, you will significantly contribute to the development of the MSAT toolbox and share manufacturing responsibility as a long-term process owner.
Key Responsibilities
1. Succeed during technology transfer by applying formal processes and tools to manage transfer of information, process-related risks, and change control.
2. Manage technical risks associated with process transfer, identification and introduction of new raw materials, and project completion aligned with project management goals.
3. Work cross-functionally to ensure communication of critical process and technical information to meet deadlines and customer outcomes.
4. Act as the interface between the process donor (customer, process development) and operations, ensuring process scalability and manufacturability.
5. Resolve process issues that may arise during manufacturing, considering all regulatory requirements.
6. Execute GMP risk analysis for manufacturing processes.
7. Implement manufacturing processes in the plant.
8. Provide independent 24/7 technical support, process monitoring, and complex data analysis, based on team roster.
9. Interact directly with customers during tech transfer, campaign preparation, execution, and closure, including daily reporting of batch status and performance. Represent and be an influential MSAT team member within multiple customer-facing projects.
10. Ensure timely compilation of process-related deviations, change requests, and campaign reports.
11. Compile CMC sections in filing documents and technical content of validation reports.
12. Contribute to the development and implementation of standardized MSAT procedures and processes.
13. Lead technical investigations to ensure continuous improvements in process and operations.
14. Challenge the status quo and seek opportunities for improvement, engaging others effectively in change processes.
15. Act as a mentor for scientific and production staff across different fields of expertise.
16. Share information and knowledge generously across teams and functions, demonstrating high integrity.
Key Requirements
1. Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in biotechnology, chemical engineering, or related disciplines.
2. Experience in biopharma manufacturing and/or process development, preferably in mammalian manufacturing.
3. Experience in technology transfer for mammalian manufacturing (preferred).
4. Understanding of GMP and bioprocess technology.
5. Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with various interfaces within customers and project organization.
6. Fluency in English.
