go? We are looking for a new colleague to join our Scalable
Customer Architectures global team to expand our practice around
our smart building platform “Building X”; our end-to-end IoT
platform for buildings which includes open AI enabled applications
and creates the potential to redefine how building-data is handled
and what can be generated from it. In this role, you will work
closely with our sales and pre-sales teams to support customers on
their digital transformation journeys of building infrastructures.
As a Smart Building - Customer Solution Architect, you will
collaborate with decision-makers at various levels, from
operational teams to senior stakeholders, to develop solutions that
align with customer needs and business objectives. Your new
responsibilities - Collaborate with sales teams to understand
customer needs, analyze opportunities, and align solutions with
customer strategies and requirements - Lead technical risk
assessments for complex, integrated, and non-standard projects to
support management approvals - Design secure and scalable
edge-to-cloud solution architectures that address customer
objectives and enable digital transformation - Prepare and deliver
value-based workshops to identify customer pain points, desired
outcomes, and relevant use cases - Support execution of complex
solutions, including 3rd party integrations, custom developments,
and non-standard technologies - Calculate and validate customer
ROI, and drive cost optimization through value engineering and
IT/OT portfolio alignment - Support and lead bids, tenders, PoCs,
presentations, demos, exhibitions, and roadshows - Monitor the
progress of critical projects throughout their lifecycle and
contribute directly to project execution when needed - Build
strong, collaborative relationships with regional leads, business
partners, and internal teams to ensure alignment and monetization
of support services - Ensure every customer interaction is
engaging, and value-driven, while promoting open communication and
knowledge sharing across the team - Collaborate with Bid Management
and regional teams to develop proposals and ensure seamless project
handover Your skills and experience - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or a
related field, with 10+ years of technical experience in enterprise
environments, particularly in digital buildings and smart
infrastructure - Strong knowledge of smart building technologies,
IoT platforms, and solution architectures - especially cloud-based
and edge-to-cloud models - Solid understanding of IT/OT
integration, cybersecurity principles, and industry-standard
communication protocols (including API/SDK) - Proficiency in
operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), databases (MS SQL,
Oracle, MongoDB), high availability systems (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V,
Citrix) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) - Practical experience in
delivering consulting services, including customer co-creation,
design-thinking workshops, and use case development - Experience in
ROI validation, value engineering, and aligning solutions with
customer KPIs and business outcomes - Exposure to verticals such as
datacenter, metros, healthcare, airports, commercial real estate,
higher education, or smart cities is a strong advantage - Flexible
and adaptable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with
geographically distributed teams - Proactive, independent, and
collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and the
ability to build trust with internal and external stakeholders -
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English;
knowledge of German or other European languages is a plus Location
