It is within this framework that, for the start of the 2023 academic year, the City is opening a new training program within the technical and road services department, aimed at hiring an: Apprentice recycler (CFC). The recycler collects, sorts, processes, and stores reusable materials and substances (glass, metals, wood, cardboard, textiles, tires, chemicals, appliances, etc.) for their reintroduction into recycling circuits. They prepare non-recyclable or hazardous waste for transport to controlled sites, thereby helping to preserve environmental quality. Applicants must: have completed their education; be at least 18 years old; demonstrate skills for manual and physical work; enjoy outdoor work under various weather conditions; be meticulous and follow instructions; successfully participate in a one-day internship; have an interest in public service; have a strong interest in environmental protection and sustainable development. You will learn to: receive waste and welcome the local public on site; distinguish recyclables from other waste, identify harmful substances for the environment, and determine the sorting and processing methods to apply; sort waste, store it, and dispose of it while adhering to health protection, environmental protection, and accident prevention regulations; process and separate all materials using mechanical, hydraulic devices, etc.; maintain machines and equipment and perform simple repairs; store waste according to its properties; organize necessary internal transfers and transshipments (logistics) or manage their transport.
