The Position: The Organisation "Site Network Basel/Kaiseraugst", part of the global Group Function "Corporate Strategy, Sustainability & Sites", provides the infrastructure for the entire site and develops it continuously and innovatively. Within the Organisation "Site Network Basel/Kaiseraugst", we design bespoke solutions with our stakeholders in the Cluster "Business Solutions".
As a Process Engineer, you will be part of the Cluster "Business Solutions" and the Circle "Pharma Engineering Drug Product" at the Basel/Kaiseraugst site. We are responsible for partnership-based operations and project engineering at the site.
As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for existing and new galenic production facilities for commercial and clinical production, which are integrated into the Roche infrastructure. The process plants to be maintained have a very high degree of automation and are strongly networked with each other and with superior IT systems.
Your Opportunity
Operations Engineering:
* Operations engineering with the goal of ensuring the production is maintained at all times, including flexible and agile work to resolve malfunctions at the assets.
* Strategy and maintenance of facilities during their lifecycle.
* Partnership-based cooperation with interfaces.
* Support for our internal customers on technical issues, definition, and initiation of investment projects, as well as during authority inspections.
* Continuous optimisation of process plants and evaluation, testing, and recommendation of new technologies.
Project Engineering:
* Leadership and implementation of projects in all project phases, such as initiation, design, and realisation (independently and with the support of internal and external specialists).
Who You Are
You have a solid basic education with a completed degree (FH/TU) in pharmaceutical technology/mechanical engineering or equivalent knowledge and at least 5 years of professional experience. You are familiar with operations engineering, malfunction resolution, and the implementation of investment projects, especially with the procurement of package units. Experience as a project leader is an advantage.
The following skills are required:
* In-depth understanding of GMP and requirements for process plants and package units, especially sterile powder filling.
* Strong teamwork and excellent communication and coordination skills within the organisation and appropriate stakeholder management at all levels.
* Willingness to work in an agile, self-organised work environment.
* Good German and English language skills in writing and speaking.
* Possibility to participate in on-call duty service.
