Better Car People partners with automotive manufacturers and dealerships to drive teams to higher levels of performance, fueling profitability and growth with our expertise, technology, and industry knowledge.
The Performance Coach role is a high-energy, client-facing position that focuses on creating measurable improvements in sales and service performance. This position requires excellent communication, facilitation, and coaching skills, along with the ability to build strong, lasting relationships with dealership personnel.
This is an exempt, outside sales position. The majority of work is performed at client sites and remote locations—regular travel is required.
Extensive Travel Required
Candidates must be able to travel 16+ days per month .
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with dealership management and staff to drive performance improvements in sales, service and business development processes.
Deliver engaging training sessions and ensure that strategies and processes are implemented effectively to produce results.
Coach teams on SaaS products, lead management and other dealership performance tools.
Identify sales opportunities and demonstrate the value of Better Car People solutions to clients.
Walk dealership sites and spend at least 75% of your time engaging directly with client personnel.
Utilize consultative problem-solving and critical thinking to address client challenges.
Maintain professionalism, comply with company policies and document all activities accurately.
Manage multiple client accounts and priorities in a remote environment while staying detail-oriented and organized.
Job Requirements
3–5 years of experience in BDC, automotive sales management or automotive vendor roles.
Ability to influence and interact with client personnel, including executives, department managers, sales/service teams and BDC staff.
Strong facilitation, coaching and training delivery skills.
Comfortable with SaaS products and technology-driven solutions.
Proven ability to plan, execute and manage goals independently.
Energetic, motivating personality with excellent communication skills.
Ability to work remotely while managing time effectively and balancing multiple priorities.
Compensation & Benefits
Average annual compensation range: $110k–$140k, based on performance and conditions outlined in the company’s PC Compensation Plan.
