Position Title: Director of Instruction and Curriculum
Position Summary:
This position supports ongoing professional learning for teachers and support staff through coaching and classroom observations focused on improving content knowledge and student achievement. The incumbent will also share responsibility with administration to ensure the district-approved curriculum is implemented effectively, aligns with standards, and is appropriate for students' developmental levels.
The following statements describe the general nature of the work. They are not exhaustive and may vary depending on circumstances.
* Support district instructional priorities through training, modeling, coaching, and guidance.
* Monitor and observe instruction to ensure fidelity.
* Conduct classroom observations, provide feedback, and assist with new teacher development.
* Facilitate professional learning communities and support collaborative lesson planning.
* Help teachers monitor student progress and advise on interventions based on assessments.
* Analyze student data to recommend instructional modifications.
* Identify professional development needs and deliver site-based training.
* Review lesson plans and provide constructive feedback.
* Maintain regular attendance and be available on-site during working hours.
* Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
* Participate in school committees, weekly PLCs, and staff meetings.
* Assist in developing master schedules, new teacher orientation, and mentorship programs.
