We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Embedded Software Test Engineer for Safety-Critical Products. The ideal candidate is a quick learner, enthusiastic about safety-critical systems, and experienced in working within regulated environments with standardized processes. You will collaborate closely with the Safety GNSS Systems Engineering team, Software Development, Verification and Validation teams, external partners, and other experts within u-blox. The position is based in Athens, Greece.
Your Responsibilities
1. Participate in software requirements development, emphasizing verifiability.
2. Design and implement test cases for safety-critical software.
3. Develop and maintain test automation and Continuous Integration infrastructure.
4. Execute tests, review results, trace them to requirements, and identify defects and non-compliances.
5. Collaborate with other teams to resolve issues.
6. Maintain the verification infrastructure, including hardware and software components.
Your Skills, Experience, and Requirements
* MSc or BSc in electrical engineering, computer science, or equivalent.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded software testing, including C/C++, static code analysis, unit testing, SIL/HIL testing, scripting (Perl, Python, Matlab, Bash), Linux OS, CI/CD frameworks (Jenkins, GitLab-CI).
* Strong understanding of embedded systems concepts.
* Excellent technical documentation and communication skills.
* Knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, V-Model) and version control (GitLab, Git, SVN).
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a positive attitude.
* Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
* Legal right to work in Greece (Greek or Schengen zone citizen or holder of work permit).
Bonus Points
* Experience with static code analysis tools (e.g., Coverity, Absint, Polyspace) and unit testing tools (e.g., Cantata).
* Knowledge of functional safety standards (ISO 26262, DO-178C) and other quality standards (A-SPICE).
* ISTQB certification.
* Experience with signal processing, radio communications, and GNSS technology.
