The Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz is an international boarding school with a history stretching back over 120 years, located near St. Moritz in the Engadin Valley (Switzerland). It hosts 220 boarders from around the world and 110 local day students studying the Swiss Matura, the iGCSE, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBDP). The school philosophy emphasizes values such as respect, openness, responsibility, engagement, inquiry, critical thinking, creativity, and balance.
We are looking for an enthusiastic person (female) to join as a
Houseparent (Girls Boarding House)
Start date: As soon as possible. Latest start date: 6 January 2026.
The position will suit candidates who enjoy the challenge of working with bright and inquisitive international students, aged 12 – 19 years (grades 7 to 12).
Responsibilities
 * Serve as a visible role model for Lyceum Alpinum values in all aspects of the running of the boarding house
 * Be responsible for the pastoral guidance and support of boarders during duty times
 * Create a safe, well-ordered, warm and friendly environment
 * Support boarders in their academic and co-curricular activities
 * Ensure behaviour in line with school and house rules
 * Communicate with parents and all stakeholders at the school
 * Organise and actively contribute to boarding activities in the evenings and at weekends
 * Ensure safeguarding practices are upheld at all times
Requirements
 * Experience working with young people in a residential setting
 * Minimum 3 – 5 years of working experience
 * High level of social competence and empathy. Strong communicative skills, strong sense of responsibility and teamwork.
 * EU/EFTA citizenship is an advantage
 * English language communication skills of minimum B2 level. Other language skills are an advantage.
