Site Financial Analyst
Location: San Jose, Costa Rica
Join a collaborative finance team supporting three key Lonza sites and shaping the financial success of major R&D and capital investment initiatives. In this role, you’ll provide analytical insights, partner with site leadership, and play a vital part in delivering accurate financial results and business guidance.

Compensation for this role will be determined by the candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and relevant knowledge.
What you will do
7. Provide insightful financial analysis to help the bioscience sites achieve short‑ and long‑term business targets
8. Lead or support monthly closing activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across multiple sites
9. Monitor, analyze, and report manufacturing variances while identifying key performance drivers and opportunities for improvement
10. Support or lead the preparation and presentation of financial results to business stakeholders, including Financial Councils
11. Develop business cases and deliver ad hoc financial analyses to support strategic decisions
12. Partner with site leadership during annual budgeting and long‑range planning to meet corporate targets and deadlines
13. Collaborate with Corporate Finance, R2R, Financial Compliance, and external auditors to ensure strong controls and compliance with Group policies
What we are looking for
14. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field preferred.
15. Proficient experience in site or manufacturing finance, operational controlling, or financial advisory/audit.
16. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP
17. Fluent in English with strong communication skills
18. Strong analytical capability and a collaborative mindset with cross‑functional partnering experience
19. Proactive approach and continuous improvement orientation, with the ability to prioritize and deliver high‑quality work under tight deadlines
