The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zurich invites applications for a Professorship of Geriatrics
and Healthy Aging.
The Professorship is based at the Department of Geriatrics of the Stadtspital Zürich and represents the subject in research, teaching and patient care. The professor will be appointed as head of the department. We are seeking a dynamic, inclusive person with extensive scientific and clinical experience in geriatrics. The successful candidate holds a specialist qualification in internal medicine with a focus on geriatrics (or equivalent training), as well as a habilitation or an equivalent academic qualification.
Experience in a leadership role within a university-based clinical unit for geriatrics is required. The successful candidate has already led a research group and has a track record in the successful acquisition of competitive third-party funding, as well as in teaching students, supervising theses, and supporting early-career academics. Potential future research focuses of the professorship range from healthcare research and epidemiological approaches to the study of the biological foundations of healthy aging.

German language skills at level B2 of the common European framework of reference for languages
should be available or must be acquired within a reasonable period of time.
