About the role
We are looking for a 3D Designer to strengthen the existing team.
As a 3D Designer / 3D Artist, you will focus on scenery creation and hard surface modeling for a high-end VR helicopter simulation platform. You will collaborate within a passionate, multidisciplinary team of artists and developers. Your work will directly contribute to realistic virtual landscapes, aircrafts, buildings and assets used in professional VR environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Create high-quality 3D scenery and environmental assets optimized for VR performance
* Design, model and texture hard surface assets, including buildings, infrastructure, aircraft components, and mechanical objects
* Develop accurate and realistic models based on technical references and engineering data
* Texture and material creation
* Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and developers to ensure technical feasibility and visual excellence
* Maintain consistent quality, scale, and detail across all assets
Requirements
* Proven experience in hard surface modeling (buildings, aircrafts, mechanical objects)
* Strong understanding of topology, UV mapping, texturing and real-time asset optimization
* Proficiency in: Cinema4D, 3D Studio MAX, Substance Painter, Adobe Photoshop
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and real-world references
* Strong communication skills in German (min. B2 level) and English
Nice to Have
* Experience working on VR or real-time simulation projects
* Knowledge of aircraft modeling or aviation environments
* Experience collaborating with engineering teams
* Understanding of performance optimization for immersive applications
