We are looking for an Oracle Database Administrator. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience -with proven hands‑on experience in the database administration tasks as detailed in the must haves. In addition, we need someone with working knowledge of Reporting and Analysis Services and Oracle.
Role
* To work as a member of the database administration team, primary responsibilities are the administration of the Oracle database infrastructures, and Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL and with a main focus on Oracle.
* Provide standardised templates and configurations for MS SQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL deployments.
* Support adoption of modern database technologies, including containerised database solutions.
* Backup / restore operations
* Monitoring and alert management
* Performance analysis and tuning
* Automate routine database tasks (e.g., provisioning, monitoring, patching) using tools like Ansible and OpenShift.
Must haves
* Deep domain expertise in managing and administering enterprise database systems, including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL.
* Experience with containerised database technologies and platforms, such as RedHat OpenShift.
* Strong knowledge of database performance tuning, security, and backup/recovery strategies.
* Proficiency in Linux system administration, including scripting (Bash, Python) and automation in enterprise environments.
