We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel for a global insurance company in Switzerland. The successful candidate will support the Legal Head of M&A in coordinating and advising on legal matters related to upcoming and ongoing mergers and acquisitions.
Responsibilities:
1. Advise on a multitude of areas, including coordination of stakeholders, strategy, due diligence, and specific legal advice on issues that arise out of transactions
2. Participate in or coordinate due diligence and other integration activities
3. Draft, review, and negotiate agreements; collaborate with different business units and regional legal counsels
4. Provide necessary support to the Legal Head of M&A
Qualifications:
5. Experience in-house or at a law firm practicing corporate law within an international environment of at least 5 years PQE
6. Knowledge and experience handling matters in an international M&A environment; experience of international corporate and commercial law
7. Proven track record of leadership and project experience
8. Fluent in English, both written and verbal
9. Excellent drafting skills, communication skills, and attention to detail
10. Ability to think around a more nuanced and complex international setup
