As a first-tier supplier to our renowned business partner, Roche Diagnostics in Rotkreuz, we are immediately seeking a motivated and dedicated Clinical Development Lead Oncology for a temporary assignment of one year with the possibility of extension.
The Clinical Development Lead Oncology is responsible for planning and implementation of Clinical Development activities for novel medical value diagnostic solutions in the areas of Chronic Liver Diseases at Roche Diagnostic Solutions (RDS), with a primary focus on a personalized health care project within Liver fibrosis.
Tasks
Serve as subject matter expert for Liver Fibrosis and Oncology in clinical study design, evidence generation, and clinical development for internal and external stakeholders
Lead critical review of study results, protocol and report development to support new product development
Collaborate cross-functionally (e.g., Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Biometrics, Quality) to implement clinical strategies
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal/external stakeholders and alliance partners to drive business goals
Represent Clinical Development for new and existing products, including clinical utility, intended use, and claim extensions
Provide scientific input for regulatory submissions and lead responses to health authority queries
Lead literature reviews and independently generate new scientific content
Demonstrate leadership by mentoring team members and fostering personal and professional growth
Must Haves
Advanced degree in Life Sciences (PhD, PharmD, or equivalent) or a Medical degree with relevant experience in healthcare or academia
3+ years of experience in academia, diagnostics, or pharma, ideally in IVD or medical device development, including protocol design, report writing, and cross-functional leadership
Proven ability to lead clinical development programs and strong knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (e.g., ICH-GCP, IVDD/IVDR, MDR, FDA, NMPA)
Familiar with the healthcare industry or brings equivalent academic expertise
Embraces agile ways of working and VACC principles (Visionary, Architect, Coach, Catalyst), fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in fluent English
Adaptable, with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, matrixed settings requiring cross-functional collaboration
Strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills and the ability to work independently
Willingness to travel up to 10–15%, depending on project phase and role
