Rust Software Engineer
As a Rust Software Engineer, you will join a cross-functional, international software development team responsible for building and maintaining reliable, unified software solutions for Molecular Diagnostics Systems. In this Rust Software Engineer position, you will play a key role in enabling laboratories to deliver accurate and timely diagnostic results, directly supporting patient care.
The Rust Software Engineer will contribute hands-on to software design, development, and maintenance in a regulated medical device environment, collaborating closely with engineers, architects, and stakeholders across the organization. Clear communication, technical excellence, and teamwork are essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain medical device software using Rust
* Ensure high-quality, compliant, and reliable software delivery
* Work with modern system architectures such as event-driven systems and DDD
* Communicate complex technical concepts clearly within diverse teams
* Lead by example and support a collaborative, inclusive engineering culture
Your Profile
* Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
* Several years of professional software development experience
* At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Rust, including ownership, borrowing, lifetimes, and async/await
* Familiarity with Tokio, Serde, SQLx, Actix-Web or Rocket
* Fluent English is mandatory; German is a plus
