About Our Client
Our client is a global industrial manufacturer known for innovation, quality, and operational excellence. To support continued growth and strengthen the procurement function, we are currently looking for a Strategic Buyer with expertise in electronics and PCBA sourcing.
Job Description
* Develop and implement sourcing strategies for electronics components, PCBAs, and related assemblies
* Manage supplier selection, qualification, and development for electronic categories
* Lead commercial negotiations and secure cost-competitive, quality-compliant supply solutions
* Act as a key interface between R&D, Engineering, Quality, and Operations for all electronics-related purchasing matters
* Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives
* Identify and mitigate risks in the electronics supply chain (availability, pricing, geopolitical factors)
* Ensure full contract lifecycle management and compliance with corporate procurement standards
* Support global category alignment and contribute to international sourcing projects
The Successful Applicant
* Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field
* Several years of experience in strategic procurement of electronics or PCBAs, ideally in an international manufacturing environment
* Strong understanding of electronics BOMs, design-for-cost topics, and supplier ecosystems (EMS, OEMs, component manufacturers)
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
* Fluent in English; German is a strong asset
* Proficient in SAP and MS Office tools
* Hands-on, structured, and proactive mindset
* Willingness to travel occasionally
