Aquatic Ecotoxicology & Senior Study Director – 6858
Our client is CRO who conducts global field studies in compliance with GEP and GLP standards, assessment studies, ecotoxicology, product chemistry and environmental behavioural studies, they offer a full portfolio of services for the agrochemical manufacturer worldwide.
They are looking for a passionate and experienced German speaking study director as a new addition to their Ecotoxicology team, in Switzerland. This is a full-time opportunity to participate in shaping the future of acquatic ecotoxicology!
Main Responsibilities:
Leading and managing the biological division of the ecotoxicology department, holding organisationaland people responsibility.
Acting as a Study Director for chronic and acute aquatic ecotoxicology studies on fish, amphibians, daphnia, algae, and other aquatic organisms, in accordance with OECD guidelines.
Reviewing, evaluating, and reporting study results and data.
Acting as an interface with internal and external stakeholders.
Maintaining a close collaboration with the internal sales team in the preparation of quotations, providing scientific input and client consulting.
Participating in scientific workshops, conferences, and congresses, representing the company.
Qualifications and Experience:
Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required
Completion of a scientific degree in biology or related fields.
At least 5 to 10 years of professional experience in aquatic ecotoxicology working under GLP, including hands‑on experience with fish endocrine disruptor testing.
Strong organisational skills and adaptability to work assignments and work schedule.
Proven experience in people leadership.
Willingness and disposition to mentor, train and develop team member.
Fluency in German and English both written and spoken.
