Physiotherapist
PHYSIOZH GmbH is looking for a motivated and passionate Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist to join our growing team. We are seeking a clinician with experience in sports rehabilitation and musculoskeletal physiotherapy, who is committed to evidence‑based practice and athlete‑centered care.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will be involved throughout the entire rehabilitation continuum, from injury prevention and risk reduction strategies to performance testing, data analysis, return‑to‑sport decision‑making, and sport‑specific reconditioning. Rehabilitation programs should be designed and implemented according to the latest scientific evidence in Strength & Conditioning and sports medicine.
PHYSIOZH is actively developing partnerships with team sports clubs and organizations within the performing arts sector (e.g., dance). These collaborations require a physiotherapist who is passionate, clinically skilled, and capable of working in high‑performance and multidisciplinary environments. Given the international nature of both our patient population and partner organizations, excellent communication skills in both German and English are essential.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive assessment and management of musculoskeletal conditions, including identification of red flags and appropriate referral pathways.
- Design, prescribe, and progress individualized rehabilitation programs integrating Strength & Conditioning principles.
- Perform manual therapy, sports taping, and sports injury management interventions.
- Conduct performance testing, interpret objective data (e.g., VO₂max, lactate testing), and guide rehabilitation based on data analysis.
- Coordinate return‑to‑sport planning and objective performance monitoring.
- Supervise and mentor physiotherapy students during internships and clinical placements.
- Collaborate with partner sports clubs on pitch‑side/on‑field coverage during weekends and provide support for regular rehabilitation projects within the performing arts sector.
Qualifications – Essential
- Degree in Physiotherapy with a Master’s degree or higher academic qualification (e.g., PhD, Doctorate).
- Certification in Strength & Conditioning (e.g., CSCS).
- Certified German language proficiency (minimum B2, preferably C1).
- Certified English language proficiency (minimum C1).
- SRK recognition or possession of a positive SRK PreCheck.
- Minimum two years of clinical experience in an outpatient physiotherapy setting.
- Experience working within a team sports environment and/or performing arts setting.
- Teaching or tutoring experience in physiotherapy education.
Qualifications – Desirable
- Postgraduate education in Sports Physiotherapy and/or Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation.
- First Aid and/or BLS certification.
- Practical experience with Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) Training.
- Training and experience in Manual Therapy.
- Experience using performance testing technologies and interpreting objective data to guide rehabilitation.
- Experience with endurance performance assessment, including VO₂max and/or lactate testing.
- Current or previous collaboration with physiotherapy educational institutions in German‑speaking Switzerland.
- Research experience involving athlete testing, performance analysis, and data interpretation.

- Strong clinical reasoning skills for functional assessment, identification of prognostic factors, and development of individualized rehabilitation plans.
- Proficiency in manual therapy, sports taping (basic and advanced applications), and sports injury management.
- Ability to design, prescribe, and progress rehabilitation programs integrating Strength & Conditioning principles.
- Competence in return‑to‑sport planning and objective performance monitoring.
Position Requirements
- Full‑time employment (100%).
- Ready to start in September 2026 with SRK recognition or possession of a positive SRK PreCheck.
- Availability to provide physiotherapy services for partner team sports clubs on behalf of PHYSIOZH.
- Availability for regular pitch‑side/on‑field coverage during weekends.
- Availability to work at least three evenings per week.
- Availability to participate in rehabilitation projects within the performing arts sector (e.g., dance), including occasional evening and weekend commitments.
