MET International AG (METI) was established in 2010 in order to consolidate and develop MET Group's international natural gas sales and purchase portfolio, as well as to establish a trading arm for commodity lines.
METI is responsible for providing highly competitive supply structures to its gas and power sales affiliates, optimizing its power generation assets, managing the LNG portfolio, and trading around international positions.
Job Description
* Trade flat price, spreads and options in Brent, FX, and related macro markets, aligned with the company's LNG, Gas, and Power trading portfolio
* Analyze European energy fundamentals (TTF, NBP, EU power hubs, LNG flows, carbon markets) and their links to global macro drivers
* Identify cross-commodity and cross-currency opportunities, including oil–gas spreads, FX impacts on LNG flows, and volatility strategies
* Establish internal and external flow channels behind
* Support increasing credit lines and tradability
* Monitor macroeconomic, geopolitical, and policy developments shaping energy and FX markets (ECB/Fed policy, EU regulation, sanctions, supply security)
* Contribute to risk management and hedging strategies for the broader trading book
Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in trading, with a focus and track record of generating P&L from macro or cross-commodity trading strategies
* Strong background in Brent crude, FX and options trading and the ability to combine macro analysis with energy market fundamentals
* Understanding of US and European Gas and Power, LNG markets is a plus
* Strong quantitative capabilities
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a trading floor environment
* Degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related quantitative field
