Tax accountant (m/f)

For one of our clients, a recognised player based in Geneva, we are looking for a Tax Accountant to strengthen the Finance team as part of a legal and tax reorganisation project following a recent merger.

Tax Accountant (m/f)

Within the accounting team, you will mainly work on Swiss corporate tax matters and administrative follow-up with various cantonal authorities.

Your responsibilities will notably include:
Calculation and accounting of tax provisions (ICC and IFD)
Monitoring and accounting of tax invoices
Preparation and follow-up of tax returns
Reconciliation of tax instalments and balances
Review of tax files for entities involved in a merger
Updating internal tax monitoring tools
Regular contact with cantonal tax authorities and social organisations
Occasional support on social charges and payroll matters
Analysis and resolution of discrepancies or open items related to legal restructurings

Your profile
Training in accounting, finance or taxation
Minimum 5 years of experience in Swiss accounting and taxation
Practical experience in preparing tax returns and monitoring instalments
Very good knowledge of corporate taxation in Switzerland
Excellent command of Excel
ERP knowledge appreciated
Fluent French
Operational German (minimum B2) essential for communication with cantonal authorities
