Position:
The Application Service Specialist - Middleware and Networking is responsible for technical support (hotline) for our products and IT infrastructure, assisting direct clients and distributors. This includes on-site software and IT activities such as support, maintenance, installations, upgrades, training, and documentation. The role involves global travel to support key clients and partners.
Main responsibilities include:
1. Participating in the installation, configuration, testing, and start-up of laboratory automation systems focused on Software and IT Infrastructure.
2. Providing remote and on-site technical support to clients and partners.
3. Analyzing performance and workflow of installed systems periodically.
4. Handling customer complaints and resolving technical issues.
5. Delivering technical/application training to clients and partners.
6. Creating and updating training materials.
7. Providing duty coverage for Inpeco's technical hotline.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Informatics, or a similar field.
* Experience in healthcare automation or as a software expert is a plus.
* Experience in log analysis and troubleshooting is a plus.
* Good knowledge of Linux and MySQL.
* Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
* Proficiency in Italian and English (mandatory); additional languages are a plus.
* Creative thinking, challenge the status quo, and pragmatic approach.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting across cultures.
* Strong organizational skills, able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
* Availability to travel 70-80% of the time.
