Your Role
As Senior Product Architect, you will develop and evaluate system concepts for a next-generation personal care device. You will oversee full system architecture, including power management, drive train, motor control, and interface to the brush head, ensuring robustness, manufacturability, and excellent user experience.
Your Responsibilities
* Develop and assess system-level architecture for new electric personal care devices (e.g., toothbrushes)
* Define subsystem interfaces (mechanical, electronic, software)
* Collaborate with internal and external design and engineering teams (mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, industrial designers)
* Guide concept selection using structured methods (trade-offs, calculations, simulations)
* Conduct feasibility studies and develop functional prototypes
* Design for manufacturing (DFM) and collaborate with suppliers
* Evaluate design iterations with cross-functional teams (testing, manufacturing, design)
* Document architecture, assumptions, and decision rationale clearly
Your Profile
* Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
* 10+ years of experience developing consumer or personal care devices (e.g., electric shavers)
* Strong system thinking with ability to analyze technical details
* Proficient in CAD (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks), FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS), and engineering analysis
* Experienced in managing complex electromechanical interfaces and design constraints
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes (injection molding, gear train design, etc.)
* Excellent communication and documentation skills
* Fluent in English; German or French is a plus
