Job Summary As a sales leader, this role directs a Regional Sales team that engages with end users, OEMs, distributors, and industry organizations. The position drives market share growth through short- and long-term sales strategies aligned with Division objectives, and serves as a key escalation point for internal and customer issues while maintaining executive-level relationships.
Job Duties Directs Account Area Managers who interface daily with End Users, Direct OEMs, and Industrial Distributors/Channel Partners.
Sets short- and long-term sales strategies and evaluates the effectiveness of current sales deployment to drive market share growth.
Provides VOC input to Business Unit Leadership and executes Business Unit Strategic Plans.
Serves as the escalation point for sales associates and internal customer issues.
Manages each seller’s disciplined selling processes to attain quota, including: Purposeful account planning
Time and territory management
Funnel opportunity management/CRM proficiency
Maintains a review cadence on funnel and performance management of the team.
Performs annual review of account segmentation and account assignments, and deploys sales resources to meet or exceed annual team and individual quota targets.
Leverages KPI’s provided by the CRM as a tool in coaching sellers.
Maintains C-level relationships at key distributor accounts.
Coaches, trains, and develops a group of sellers to overdrive quota and builds bench strength.
Interviews and hires new sales talent as needed, and performs annual performance evaluations for sales team members.
Conducts twice-annual SMART goal reviews and executes merit increase assessments.
Utilizes Regal Rexnord talent review tools to assess team talent and potential.
Facilitates regional meetings and leads customer-related trainings and plant visits.
Manages root-cause countermeasure (RCCM) process and participates in trade organization leadership.
Requirements BS in Industrial Technologies, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Distribution or related field (preferred).
10+ years of experience in the field; Power Transmission industry experience in Vertical Industries preferred.
2+ years sales management experience preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to travel up to 40%.
