Job Description Lead the implementation of data science prototypes and projects, supporting digital transformation initiatives.
Contribute to scaling successful prototypes into broader implementation efforts
Support the development of automatic data collection and experiment protocoling tools to streamline data analysis processes.
Assist in automating data analysis in laboratories and production plants, improving efficiency and accuracy.
Contribute to promoting a data-driven culture, data science and automation in laboratory and production environments.
Work closely with chemical engineers, chemists, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide analytical support. Visualize and communicate analytical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Facilitate the integration of data science insights into process development and decision-making workflows.
Qualifications Master’s degree or PhD in Data Science /Computer Science/(Chemical) Engineering, or a related field
Proficiency in Python programming language, including experience with Pandas, Git
Hands-on experience in data science projects, demonstrated through GitHub repositories, blog posts, deployed applications, or other relevant work
Knowledge of data storage and processing technologies, such as SQL databases and data lakes
Experience in project management and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships across organizational levels and functions
Understanding of chemical terminology and/or experience in the chemical industry is a plus
Excellent proficiency in English, German and/or French is highly advantageous
