MISSION As an R&D Prototypist, you will play a key role in the development and testing of new EMS products by producing precise mechanical prototypes, tools, and components. You will support engineers in turning ideas and technical drawings into working models, contributing directly to product innovation and continuous improvement. TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES Manufacture prototypes, tooling, and mechanical parts using conventional and CNC machinesProgram CAM software and operate CNC machines for component productionInterpret and work from engineering drawings, sketches, or CAD modelsDesign and produce jigs, tools, and testers for laboratory and production useAssist in mechanical design development and improvement of parts and toolsCollaborate closely with R&D, Quality, and external suppliers on technical challengesEnsure compliance with documentation, traceability, and quality standardsContribute to the maintenance and improvement of the prototyping workshop EDUCATION & PERSONAL SKILLS CFC or equivalent technical qualification in mechanics or prototypingMinimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar roleProficient in CNC machining, CAM programming, and use of conventional toolsStrong knowledge of materials such as stainless steel (inox), aluminum, and PEEKAbility to read and interpret 3D CAD and technical drawingsAutonomous, structured, and detail-orientedStrong collaboration and communication skillsFluent in French; good knowledge of English is an asset BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES At EMS, we have defined key competencies that support our Vision and Mission statements.
