CONTEXT
Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Atelier Manager will be responsible for ensuring operational and production excellence at the Buccellati atelier in Morbio. In this role, you will lead the entire production cycle, ensuring the highest level of artisanal quality, strict adherence to delivery deadlines, and the effective implementation of Maison’s strategies. The position requires in-depth knowledge of artisanal processes typical of high-end jewelry and watchmaking, as well as excellent leadership and management skills for specialized teams.
The ideal candidate possesses:
1. Consolidated experience of at least 8 years in managing production sites, preferably in the luxury jewelry and watchmaking sector or related high-manufacturing fields.
2. Thorough competence in artisanal production processes, with particular attention to quality and precision.
3. Knowledge of cantonal regulations regarding safety, hygiene, and environment (considered a plus).
4. Knowledge of Continuous Improvement methods and their application in production contexts with a significant artisanal component.
5. Proficiency in production management IT systems (SAP, ERP, or equivalent).
6. Excellent command of Italian and English; knowledge of French is an added advantage.
7. Excellent leadership, communication, and effective personnel management skills.
8. Strong results orientation, with particular attention to quality and operational efficiency.
Main Responsibilities:
9. Production and Atelier Management: Plan, organize, and supervise all production activities of the atelier, ensuring the achievement of volume, quality, time, and budget objectives. Collaborate with the Central Quality Department to implement and monitor rigorous quality control systems, ensuring that each creation meets Buccellati's high standards. Optimize production processes to increase operational efficiency and contain costs, promoting continuous improvement. Constantly monitor production performance, analyze data and KPIs, and promptly adopt corrective actions. Supervise the correct procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring their availability and quality. Supervise the correct procurement from phase suppliers of semi-finished products, ensuring the timeliness of deliveries with respect to production programs and compliance with quality standards. Oversee the ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of the Atelier's plants and equipment. Ensure full compliance with safety, hygiene, and environmental regulations, in close collaboration with the Health & Safety department. Ensure full compliance with the regulations established by the Group and the Maison for the security of assets, collaborating with the central Security department.
10. Team Management and Development: Lead, motivate, and develop the Atelier's team of artisans and operators, promoting a stimulating and excellence-oriented work environment. Define clear and measurable objectives at the individual and group level, monitoring performance and providing constructive and timely feedback. Effectively organize shifts, holidays, and operational coverage to ensure production continuity. Actively collaborate with the HR department in the processes of personnel selection, training, and evaluation. Give continuity to and enhance the principles of Craftsmanship, Tradition, and Passion that characterize our organizational approach and our creations. Promote and maintain a safe, inclusive, and collaborative work environment.
