Job Description
A dynamic and familial Trust is looking for a new Trust Accountant in Geneva.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare financial statements for companies and trusts for audit or direct submission to clients and regulators.
* Manage client accounting and participate in client meetings, explaining accounting matters clearly.
* Supervise Bookkeeping and provid technical guidance and support.
* Resolve accounting discrepancies with Trust Managers, clients, and advisors.
* Prepare ad-hoc cash flow reports, financial projections, and periodic reporting.
* Process finalisation journals into accounting records.
Profile:
* ACCA qualification or equivalent.
* 4-5 years of experience in offshore trust & company accounting; experience with Swiss accounting is a plus.
* Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, foreign currency accounting, and accounting systems.
* Understanding of Trust and Company Law, UK tax-related matters, and best practices.
* Excellent communication skills in English (French is a plus).
* Proficiency in accounting software and strong spreadsheet skills.
* Ability to prepare accounts for various structures (property, investment, etc.).
* Client-oriented, autonomous, and able to work in a team.
