The Role
The CTO is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, implementation, and management of the company's information technology systems and infrastructure. The role involves leading and coordinating various teams to ensure the efficient functioning of IT operations, as well as driving innovation and leveraging technology to support the organization's overall goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
Oversee the development and implementation of IT projects and initiatives. Manage software development teams and ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions on time and within budget.
Develop and implement an IT strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives, including long-term evolution plan of business core software. Identify opportunities for technology-driven innovation.
Inspire and empower a high-performing, multidisciplinary team through effective leadership and hands-on engagement.
Manage the IT department's budget, including capital expenditures and operational costs. Allocate resources effectively, monitor expenditures, and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
Risk Management and Security: Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and security measures to protect the organization's data, systems, and networks. Stay updated on emerging threats and technologies to mitigate risks effectively.
Profile
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. A master's degree or MBA is a plus.
Significant experience (10+ years) in IT leadership roles.
Proven track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects and driving technology-driven innovation, preferably within in-house product development environment.
Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, IT infrastructure management, and emerging technology.
Familiarity with cloud computing, cybersecurity, network architecture, and data management.
Understanding of business operations, industry trends, and the impact of technology on organizational performance.
