“Drive Growth in a Strategic Defense Market”
The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region is investing heavily in modernizing its armed forces, strengthening regional security, and building long-term technology partnerships. Positioned at the crossroads of global trade and geopolitics, MENA offers exceptional opportunities for defense companies that bring innovation, reliability, and trusted collaboration
This position will cover the governmental market of Algeria selling soldier electro-optics and the industrial demand for technology bricks and modules mainly in KSA, UAE and Egypt. The introduction of SAFRAN products, the intensification of SAFRAN’s recognition and the anticipation of partnerships with domestic and international players in the region are supposed to bolster the growth prospects of SAFRAN. For this challenge, we are looking for a motivated and ambitioned sales manager based in Switzerland but ready to travel to the region frequently.
Responsibilities
* Secure orders from governmental (Mission Solutions) and industrial customers (Ultisense)
* Continue developing the markets together with the domestic liaison organizations
* Identify and build relationships with key customers
* Conduct trainings and product demonstrations
* Understand and develop customer requirements
* Manage and negotiate RFI’s, RFQ’s, tenders and associated contracts
* Develop marketing strategies to address the different markets appropriately and to boost SAFRAN’s brand recognition
* Participate in important exhibitions and conferences
* Support, evaluate, develop and improve industrial partnerships
Qualifications
* We are looking for a person that is familiar with the MENA region and ideally understands its defense market from former positions
* The ideal candidate is very familiar with the Arabic culture or has an Arabic heritage
* You think strategically with a proven record of government sales of high-tech products and systems
* You are capable of switching between different stakeholders in the complex buyer structures
* You have a technical background, you like to dive into end user applications and into technical negotiations (sensors, electronics, software)
