You will join the dynamic eFX Spot & Digital Assets Trading team, which serves the bank’s electronic trading business as principal counterparty in OTC venues and CLOBs and as operator of SQX: Swissquote’s own cryptocurrency exchange.
Responsibilities
* contribute to the bank’s commercial goals by managing the electronic risk book (proprietary internalization system)
* provision SPOT liquidity such that clients’ execution needs and the bank’s policies are sustainably met
* ensure a gainful network of trading counterparties
* ensure that SQX serves as an attractive and compliant marketplace for clients and market‑makers
* drive the bank’s ongoing investments in its proprietary trading and risk systems in collaboration with software engineers
* promote quantitative research initiatives in collaboration with quantitative researchers
* promote excellent product quality and participate in its continuous improvement
* facilitate new business initiatives in collaboration with various internal teams
* monitor orders, trades, overall market conditions, news flow, real‑time risk and P&L
* fine‑tune price construction, execution and risk management production algorithms
* assess client flow quality, fine‑tune tiering and liaise with sales teams
* analyze results, identify and execute (or drive) improvements
* contribute to quantitative research, systems testing and infrastructure optimization
* work closely with technology teams
Qualifications
* Previous trading experience in a sell‑side electronic trading firm/bank is a strong plus
* Deep understanding of market (micro)structure, client needs and the competition landscape
* Proficient in transforming large sets of financial tick‑data into actionable insights
* Solid programming and mathematical rigor
* Successful in liaising effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
* Self‑driven, intellectually curious, structured, attention to detail, team‑oriented
* Degree in quantitative discipline from a top‑ranked university
