Position Overview
Our client Philip Morris PMI is looking for an Audiovisual Technical Specialist for a 6 months position extendable.
The AV Technical Specialist is responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing PMIs studio infrastructure and broadcast systems. This role emphasizes technical execution, risk management, and integration of advanced AV technologies such as NDI, Dante, and IP-based workflows. You’ll ensure the reliability and scalability of live production environments while supporting safety and compliance standards. Candidates should have deep expertise in AV engineering and broadcast operations.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain permanent studio infrastructure for live TV production.
Operate and troubleshoot IP/NDI-based studio environments e.g., Tricaster.
Manage AV broadcast tools including Sony FX, Blackmagic, Yamaha QL1, Avolite, Sennheiser, Canon PTZ.
Conduct risk assessments for technical setups and ensure safety compliance.
Analyze project feasibility and manage production budgets and timelines.
Maintain media bank workflows and automation dependencies.
Build and manage NDI/Dante infrastructure and IP network systems.
Recommend and integrate new technologies to improve AV operations.
Required Skills & Experience
35 years of experience in live broadcast engineering and AV infrastructure.
Expert knowledge in video codecs, broadcast engineering, and safety protocols.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite and AV-specific software.
Strong project management and troubleshooting capabilities.
Clear accountability for technical execution and infrastructure reliability.
Preferred Qualifications
Brevet Fédéral in AV production or equivalent.
Technical degree in broadcast engineering or AV systems.
Travel required to Neuchatel once a month.
