A Day in the Life
Atrial fibrillation affects over 33 million individuals worldwide and is the most common form of serious arrhythmia. With our fast-growing cardiac ablation business segment and recent acquisition of the AFFERA Mapping and Ablation System, we are poised to provide innovative solutions to address unmet needs for many patients. We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior AFFERA Mapping and Therapy Specialist to join our team and further drive the growth of this business.
This role reports to the operating unit and is critical in providing expert clinical and technical support and training to physicians and EP Lab Staff on the optimal use of the AFFERA Mapping and Ablation System. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
* Providing proficient clinical and technical assistance on the AFFERA Mapping and Ablation System and other products of the Cardiac Ablation Solutions business, including troubleshooting and clinical workflow development.
* Delivering in-service training to hospital stakeholders, supporting training center development, and mentoring new colleagues to ensure technology acceptance and skill development.
* Building and maintaining professional customer relationships, ensuring responsiveness and continuous improvement of customer experiences.
* Prioritizing and maximizing case coverage through excellent planning, and participating in territory reviews with the Sales Manager.
* Collaborating with field service engineers, technical departments, and marketing to ensure system efficiency, provide feedback, and contribute to new product development.
* Staying updated on product information, IFUs, scientific literature, and maintaining compliance with all company training and documentation requirements.
* Participating in congresses, symposia, and workshops regionally and internationally to represent Medtronic and share clinical best practices.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in electrical or medical engineering, or related scientific disciplines.
* At least 3 years of clinical electrophysiology (EP) experience.
* Minimum of 2 years supporting EP mapping procedures independently.
* Fluency in French and English; German is a plus.
* Independent and responsible work approach.
* Valid driver’s license.
* Ability to work effectively in EP labs and meet vendor credentialing requirements.
