As the premier supplier to our client based in Switzerland, Swisslinx is looking for a highly motivated individual to take on a challenging role as a Application Support Analyst for at least 12-months contract, extension highly likely or potential to go permanent.
Job description
Our client is looking for someone to join a team of 4 people and to get up to speed on the trading systems, understanding the issues raised by the business and learning how to action the issues.
The position encompasses:
Supporting business users in Switzerland and globally for our main Metals and Minerals trading system
Closely working with the team of application business analysts and the developers to resolve reported issues
Regular communication on status and progress of pending issues to relevant stakeholders
Extend and maintain product support documentation for support staff and end-users
Problem management and proposal of correcting measures to proactively prevent reoccurring issues
Involvement in the application testing cycle as part of the business request delivery process
Requirements
The commodity trading or financial sector
Supporting business application end-users
Strong SQL knowledge
Software testing and Quality Assurance in UAT and pre-production environments
IT development technologies and processes
Onsite 100%
