Position Summary

We are looking for an R&D Modelling Specialist - Mechanistic and Data Driven to propose and conduct research activities. This role will involve applying modelling and advanced data analytics to support scientific discoveries and foster innovation across our product portfolio by connecting product development, manufacturing, and consumer preferences.

A Day in the Life of an R&D Modelling Specialist - Mechanistic and Data Driven

* Embrace innovation as a catalyst for change andpropose and drive innovative ideas/projects/methodologies and identify opportunities to leverage them in Nestlé product applications across-business
* Make a meaningful impact on our world by beingable to address key business needs by identifying opportunities for developing scientific solutions and translating them into project proposals
* Stay at the forefront of science: Use mechanistic and/or data driven modelling expertise in the field of food material science for Nestlé R&D projects and initiate external collaborations and supervise their work with business relevant inputs
* Foster a culture of creativity and growth andReview and share latest developments in emerging fields of modelling and drive the development of novel approaches

What Will Make You Successful

* Academic and Research Experience: Ph.D. in the field of Chemical Engineering, Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, Materials Science or Food Science and Technology with a focus on Mathematical and Computational Modelling, shaping the future of product design in food and consumer products
* Innovation at Heart:Bring your hands-on expertise in mechanistic and data-driven modelling techniques, alongside proficiency in Python (with R knowledge as a bonus), and familiarity with scientific computing software like MATLAB, Mathematica, or COMSOL, to deliver impactful solutions
* People at Core: Demonstrated ability to connect and collaborate effectively with diverse audiences and internal/external researchers, supported by exceptional written and verbal skills in English
