About the Role
Major accountabilities:
* Champion Make-on-Demand (MoD) workflows and develop computational strategies to accelerate hit finding activities.
* Develop synthon-based search strategies to leverage virtual chemical spaces efficiently.
* Contribute to the design of internal Low Molecular Weight (LMW) and DNA Encoded libraries to harness MoD potential during hit finding.
* Utilize expertise in cheminformatics, computational chemistry, and data science to generate and navigate virtual chemical spaces, build predictive models, and collaborate with project teams to accelerate early drug discovery.
* Possess a PhD in cheminformatics, computational chemistry, physics, or a related field, or equivalent experience in applying computational tools in life science/drug discovery.
* Hands-on experience with cheminformatics workflows, descriptors, and machine learning in cheminformatics contexts.
* Excellent scientific communication skills, including presenting complex data science concepts clearly and leveraging data visualization.
* Ability to work within interdisciplinary teams, demonstrating proactive communication and professionalism, fostering mutual respect and positivity.
* Experience working in Linux high-performance computing and cloud environments.
* Proficiency in Python scientific stacks, with knowledge of best practices in reproducible research.
Nice to have :
* Knowledge of structure-based and ligand-based approaches.
* Experience with ligand-protein docking, generative chemistry, deep learning, ligand-protein cofolding.
* Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs).
* Experience with organic synthesis and library design of small molecules.
* Experience using synthons and transformations for virtual space interrogation.
