We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Sales & Technical Application Specialist (STAS) to join our Diagnostics team. This hybrid commercial and technical role combines account management, project implementation, technical consulting, and customer support responsibilities. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted partner to customers while driving business growth, ensuring successful product implementation, and delivering high-quality technical support.
The STAS will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Service, Training, and customer stakeholders across the region, supporting both existing and new business opportunities within the French speaking territories (Western Switzerland), German speaking part Bern – Basel - Solothurn.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Sales Support
1. Manage and develop customer accounts within assigned territories.
2. Drive equipment sales in both existing and competitor accounts.
3. Prepare sales forecasts, commercial offers, and contract renewals.
4. Support implementation of new customer accounts and onboarding activities.
5. Act as the primary liaison between customers and internal departments.
6. Conduct technical reviews and workflow analyses at customer sites.
7. Support equipment and software upgrades.
8. Collect, analyze, and report customer data at country and sector level.
9. Assist Sales Executives with presentations, business analysis, and portfolio expansion activities.
Technical & Customer Support
10. Provide technical troubleshooting and operational support to customers.
11. Deliver high-level technical and clinical discussions with customers.
12. Ensure excellent customer satisfaction through responsive communication and problem-solving.
13. Support hotline coverage and field-based customer assistance as required.
Project Management
14. Lead and coordinate projects implemented at customer sites.
15. Develop and maintain detailed project plans and timelines.
16. Ensure effective communication between internal stakeholders and customer teams.
17. Participate in new product launches and implementation activities.
18. Manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Training & Documentation
19. Support preparation, translation, and verification of technical and commercial documentation.
20. Maintain accurate records and inventory documentation.
Compliance & Quality
21. Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, GMP, ISO regulations, and applicable certification requirements.

Qualifications & Experience
Education
32. Bachelor’s degree or certification in Medical Technology, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
33. Biomedical Scientist
34. Immunohematology education basics
Experience
35. Of advantage: 1–2 years of experience in diagnostics customer service, technical support, applications, or a related field.
36. Experience in sales support and customer account management preferred.
37. Strong understanding of diagnostic products and laboratory workflows.
