It brings together many high-level researchers from across the country and aims to develop new techniques in science and to accelerate technology transfer to meet Switzerland's sustainable development goals and to expedite the path towards neutrality. EPFL, which oversees this project, is looking for a financial controller to manage the project's finances. The main mission of this position is to centralize and consolidate the financial aspects related to the project within EPFL and with external partners.Main tasks and responsibilities - Manage the finances and accounting of the NCCR project under the guidance of the project management when establishing the budget. - Collaborate with the NCCR Program X on budget management, internal and external reporting, and audit management. - Manage the quarterly collection, reimbursement, and accounting of all project-related expenses in conjunction with all stakeholders. - Gather, verify, and maintain data for interim and final reports within the FNS X system. - Prepare and manage the financial audits of the FNS. - Collaborate with members of the NCCR team and central services. - Contribute to the transversal tasks of the ECOS unit. - Support department heads in their activities. - Be available for transversal projects of the EPFL.Profile - Proven experience in budget and accounting management of scientific projects or comparable large-scale projects. - Experience in fiduciary/audit, with a background in accounting, finance, or management, along with several years of experience in a similar role. - Very good command of French and English, both spoken and written. - Great numerical proficiency, particularly in reporting and audits. - Mastery of common software (Word, Excel, Outlook), with excellent command of Excel required. - Excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a multi-partner budget tracking context. - Autonomy and ability to interact with diverse stakeholders (management, researchers, professors, partners, auditors). - Dynamic personality, demonstrating integrity and conscientiousness.We offer - A multicultural and stimulating professional environment. - A pleasant atmosphere and working conditions that accommodate internal needs based on the position.
