POSITION TITLE:
Facilities Manager

DESCRIPTION:
To ensure schools are safe, secure and properly maintained to enhance the learning environment for all District stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Certification: N/A
* Education:
o Required – Associate's Degree
o Preferred – Associate's Degree with courses in building maintenance
* Experience:
o Required – Five (5) years’ experience in related field, management and supervisory experience, extensive experience in HVAC systems, associated equipment, security systems including building access programs, security cameras, Facilities Scheduling, maintaining a Preventative Maintenance Program, inventory control, purchasing, school accounting and coding bills.
o Preferred – Five (5) years’ experience in related field, management and supervisory experience, extensive experience in HVAC systems, associated equipment, security systems including building access programs, security cameras, Facilities Scheduling, maintaining a Preventative Maintenance Program, inventory control, purchasing, school accounting and coding bills in a public school system.
ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Supervises, plans, directs, trains, and evaluates Operations and Facilities staff. These duties include, but are not limited to:
o Recommends the hiring, transfer or termination of staff.
o Has the authority to discipline employees.
o Has the authority to adjust level one grievances.
o Prepares written evaluations annually.
* Manage a Preventative Maintenance Program.
* Manage the procurement of supplies, materials, and equipment necessary to ensure a safe, secure, and properly maintained environment.
* Inspect the District grounds and buildings frequently to ensure a safe and secure environment.
* Promote team development through effective communication and positive leadership.
* Assist the Director of Operations and Facilities in establishing and maintaining the department budget including the review of bills for accuracy and proper accounting.
* Manage staffing for all school events.
* Maintain District assets inventory and equipment list for all supplies, furniture, equipment, machinery, vehicles, etc.
* Manage District sustainable initiatives as recommended by the District's Sustainability Committee.
* Ensure that the District's Facilities Scheduling system for all district events is being utilized effectively to support staff needs.
OTHER PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Operations and Facilities or designee.
* Assist in other areas as needed.
* Complete other duties as assigned.

Technical: Must be able to proficiently work with technology including but not limited to computers, cell phones, email, Microsoft Office, Google platform, printers, phones, etc.
Interpersonal: Must have excellent communication skills, must be able to work collaboratively with a team, must be able to make difficult decisions that impact learning, must be able to work harmoniously with students, parents, staff, and administration, etc. Must exhibit sound judgment in dealing with people. Must have strong organizational skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Manual Dexterity: Work requires definite skilled and accurate physical operations requiring some closely coordinated performance.
Physical Effort: Work requires handling weight materials or equipment a minimum of 50 lbs., but not for sustained periods. Must be able to stoop, climb, and reach.
Working Conditions: Some exposure to definitely disagreeable elements may exist. Must be able to travel to other district buildings and conferences as needed.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Full‑time position, twelve month (260‑Days), Exempt Status
SALARY RANGE:
$95,000 - $105,000. Based on experience and education.
