PowerUP - General Project Coordinator (GPC) (f/m/d)
Workload: 40-80%

Duration: 6 months

Join Axpos PowerUP career re‑entry program and take an exciting step back into professional life. In this role you will gradually assume responsibility for coordinating biomethane plant projects across their entire lifecycle, supported by structured onboarding and mentoring.


Role Overview

As part of PowerUP’s career re‑entry program we are seeking a General Project Coordinator (GPC) who is returning to professional life after a career break. You will supervise and coordinate all activities involved in the delivery and performance of biomethane plant projects from integration after acquisition through construction, commissioning and operations, working across the different teams within PGB.


Key Responsibilities

1. End‑to‑End Project Coordination

o Coordinate all project success factors across all phases: integration, engineering & procurement, construction & commissioning, ramp‑up and steady‑state operations.

o Act as the central point of supervision for cost, schedule, quality, safety and performance with increasing ownership during the PowerUP ramp‑up phase.

2. Project Planning & Governance

o Maintain project execution plans, schedules, budgets and risk registers across teams.

o Establish governance structures, reporting routines and decision‑making processes.

3. People & Resource Management

o Define staffing and resource needs across project phases.

o Ensure availability of qualified personnel, training and required competencies.

o Foster a strong safety culture and collaborative working environment.

4. Tools, Systems & Processes

o Apply Axpo’s project management tools and standards consistently.

o Contribute to process standardisation and continuous improvement initiatives.

5. Regulatory, HSE & Compliance

o Ensure compliance with local and European regulations.

o Oversee Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) performance.

o Interface with authorities, auditors and external stakeholders as required.


Required Qualifications & Experience

This role is designed for professionals returning after a career break. We explicitly encourage applications from candidates who have taken time away from their career (e.g. parental leave, caregiving, relocation, education or personal reasons) and are motivated to re‑enter a responsible project management role with structured support.

* Degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Energy or related field.

* Professional experience (prior to a career break) in:

o Industrial project management.

o Energy, biogas, biomethane or process plant environments.

o Managing complex multidisciplinary projects across multiple phases.

* Basic understanding of:

o Construction and commissioning of industrial plants.

o Operational requirements and asset management.

o European regulatory and permitting environments (advantage).

* Learning agility and confidence rebuilding in a complex environment.

* Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.

* Excellent stakeholder and communication abilities.

* Financial and commercial awareness.

* Ability to manage complexity across multiple countries and cultures.

* Structured, pragmatic and solution‑oriented approach.

* Fluency in English; Polish, Italian or additional European languages are a strong advantage.

* Willingness to travel across Europe with planning transparency and consideration for work‑life integration.
